Well, that depends on who you are!
Students
Since founding analytllc in 2018, I have helped more than two dozen doctoral students fulfill their life-long ambition of graduating with a terminal degree. I’ve helped both Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) students as well as Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) students. I love the broad scope of working on such projects. One minute I’m coming up with ways to cluster online marketing campaigns, the next I’m concerned about how to best sell plant-based options in a fast-food setting. It’s great.
If you wish to get a true sense of my experience as a statistical consultant, just check out my CV on the Everything Else page. There, you can find a listing of my project experiences in the form of research questions. So, how can analytllc help you, a doctoral student? Let’s explore via process.
Often, a student will come to me, dissertation in hand, wondering how in the world statistics applies to their problem. They know that “stats” is an essential element to any quantitative project but they have no idea how to move forward in the context of their problem. This is where I come in, like some sort of statistical mechanic. I listen to the student, I take notes, I ask questions related to minute project elements. In essence, I do everything I can to get their project moving quickly and with focus.
In some cases, this is all the student needs, a nudge in the right direction. In others, they wish for me to look over their statistical work or the work of another statistician. In yet another, they want me to conduct a full (yet focused) analysis and provide a written report. Finally, there are those that wish for me to help design experiments or surveys prior to data collection. I am open to it all. We won’t know where you fit in until we get to talking, so please visit Let’s Get Started if you’re interested.
Businesses
While much of my experience has been with doctoral students, most of my projects have been corporate-minded in scope and style. I’ve worked extensively with executives from a wide array of organizational settings to implement a number of initiatives. I’ve advised an organization not to take a union’s concession. I’ve determined which color light should be used in a hotel bar to best increase drink sales. I’ve isolated ways in which an organization may increase perceptions of justice in performance appraisals among knowledge workers. In other words, I have the experience needed to tackle your corporate problems. I also have the time!
Being a sole-proprietor, I’m able to provide you with a more personalized experience than the big box analyst. You can be sure that red tape and core processes will not get in the way of your project. Statistical consulting is my process, not some element of my process. In this way, you get help that is more focused, adaptive, and flexible. You can also be sure that no portion of the process will been outsourced or reduced in quality in any way. I’m your guy throughout, from start to finish. It’s just me and you and your project. That’s it. That’s the us.
Still not convinced that a sole statistical entity can handle your larger than life organizational problems? Let me prove you wrong!
Just visit Let’s Get Started to get the conversation going. I’ll be glad to chat with you.
Others
What’s outside of students and business, you ask? Lots of stuff. Think non-profits. Think individual investors. Think outside the box, my friends.
If you have data and an open mind, analytllc can help. That’s all it takes sometimes. Either way, I’m open to explore with you. As part of a project, I once determined ways in which local governments can better interact with their residents and those visiting the area. I once built an algorithm for concordance among ordered choices, which can be considered a more mathematical task overall. I’ve built systems for new graphing techniques on my own time. It’s all the same: curiosity and ingenuity applied to reality. Need an extreme thinker on your board, be it suits and ties or just a surfboard? I’m your guy. Let’s do some thinking! Let’s solve totally new problems!
